What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a Senior Professional/Satellite Office Manager to join and lead our growing team serving the Middle Tennessee market. We are a nationwide firm of growth-oriented Seller-Doers seeking a full-time engineer or geologist to help grow our business in the industrial/commercial, real estate, and solid waste markets. You will be based in our Brentwood, TN office and are expected to be in the office at least 4 to 5 days per week, so some remote work is acceptable.

How you can make an impact

You will wear several hats, including project management responsibility, business development responsibility, managing and mentoring staff, providing technical expertise, and serving as a Seller-Doer.

As our Office Manager, you will contribute to our growth of the office by:

Developing new and existing clients
Integrating with other Environmental Services and Solid Waste Services staff across the company
Managing and being responsible for Profit/Loss of your projects and the business unit
Seeking profitable ways to increase Satellite Office staff

As a Seller you will contribute to our growth by:

Playing a leading role in new client acquisition
Maintaining or growing relationships with existing clients
Collaborating with SCS national technical experts as we develop strategies for expanding ways in which we contribute to our clients success
Reviewing RFPs, assisting with go/no go decisions, drafting and reviewing proposals
Enhancing the value of the services that we perform for existing clients

As a Doer you will work with a team of professionals, including SCS national experts in various fields, to assist our clients in resolving a wide variety of environmental challenges such as:

Environmental Due Diligence - Phase 1 and Phase 2 Environmental Site Assessments
Environmental Risk Assessment and Remediation - soil, groundwater, stormwater, wastewater, subsurface gas, vapor intrusion
Brownfield Assessment and Redevelopment
Environmental Permitting, Reporting and Compliance – (e.g. RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, CAA, SDWA, CWA, FIFRA, OPA, EPCRA, NEPA)
Groundwater Monitoring and Reporting
Hydrogeologic Investigations
Environmental Compliance
Liquids Management Issues
Solid Waste Permitting and Design

Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters of Science in an environmental related science or engineering field required
10+ years of related work experience required
5+ years working at an environmental consulting firm required
Business Development experience in the middle Tennessee market required
Professional registration (e.g., P.E. or P.G.) or certification (e.g., CHMM, CIH, REM, or similar) preferred
Valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing required

Pay Range

USD $125,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
