Overview
Nobis is looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Director of Environmental Health & Safety to work in our Concord, NH office to develop a client portfolio, manage projects, and provide Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) services; and manage the company health and safety program to ensure it provides a safe working environment for all employee-owners. What You’ll Do
Leading And Growing EHS Services At Nobis
- Manage and perform EHS services projects; develop and maintain a business plan for EHS services development; and develop marketing materials for core EHS services to support business development.
- Develop marketing materials for core EHS services to support business development and external facing media and client engagement to help develop business.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key regulator stakeholders to help with project management and client support. Perform client management to cultivate long-term relationships to grow and sustain EHS services within Nobis’ strategic goals, and travel to client sites as needed.
Leading And Maintaining The Nobis Health & Safety Program
- Serve as primary contact for company-wide safety matters, working with all employees to create a positive atmosphere relating to safety through positive reinforcement.
- Lead company’s Health & Safety Committee, ensuring proper representation from necessary positions within the company. Review existing safety program and develop appropriate additional programs to address Company’s safety needs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and Federal contract requirements.
- Maintain an experience modification rate (EMR) of less than 1.0 to qualify for Federal work opportunities.
- Represent the company when responding to questions from OSHA representatives and report to OSHA as required under State and Federal law.
- Conduct or arrange for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) and other necessary H&S training and education programs and maintain the required records.
What You’ll Need To Bring With You
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 10 years related experience and/or training or equivalent of education and experience.
- Candidate must have experience with HAZWOPER safety issues and a proven track record of coordinating safety operations across various sites, including general and construction industries.
- Must demonstrate professionalism in managing time, costs, and deadlines, and possess excellent communication skills for interacting with employees, management, and regulators.
- Familiarity and experience with OSHA, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), the Department of Transportation (highway and railway), asbestos regulations, construction-related safety, industrial hygiene, and other safety standards are highly desired.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license, have own transportation and proof of current auto insurance, and be able to travel for project site visits, meetings, and training. Travel is highly dependent upon project work requirements and may be extensive at times.
- Must possess OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour and Management/Supervisor Training certificates.
- Possession of professional certifications such as CSP, CHMM, or CIH is preferred.
