What we need: The
Vice President of Accounting & Finance A dynamic and influential finance executive who combines strategic vision, operational rigor, and bold leadership to drive organizational growth and long-term value creation. This individual excels in executive partnership, financial stewardship, and leading high-performing teams while confidently navigating complex ESOP, valuation, and compensation environments. They are persuasive, innovative, and action-oriented — capable of driving results while building trust and alignment across the organization.
They effectively delegate operational responsibilities to empower their team and create capacity for strategic leadership, enabling them to focus on long-range planning, organizational growth, and high-impact decision-making. With strong executive presence and the ability to influence at all levels, they balance big-picture thinking with accountability, adaptability, and a commitment to developing people and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the accounting and finance team to drive engagement, performance, and succession planning.
- Foster a high-performance culture aligned with company values and strategic objectives.
- Partner with the Executive Leadership Team on strategic planning, M&A activities, and organizational growth initiatives.
- Address personnel matters and support company-wide leadership initiatives.
Financial Operations & Strategy
- Oversee all financial operations including accounting, invoicing, budgeting, reporting, cash management, and audits.
- Develop financial strategies, forecasts, and long-range plans to support growth and profitability.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, tax filings, and regulatory reports.
- Analyze financial performance, manage risk, and adjust projections and budgets as needed.
- Manage relationships with external partners including CPAs, auditors, and investment advisors.
- Oversee corporate investments, pension plans, and financial systems
ESOP Administrative Responsibilities and Oversight
- Manage ESOP-related financial responsibilities including repurchase obligations, funding, and compliance.
- Coordinate with third-party administrators, advisors, and legal partners to ensure ERISA and IRS compliance.
- Oversee participant communications, reporting, and annual census processes.
- Monitor pension accounts and support plan sustainability initiatives.
Valuation Responsibilities and Oversight
- Lead the annual ESOP valuation process in partnership with the Trustee and valuation firm.
- Compile required data, develop forecasts, and participate in valuation review discussions.
- Analyze valuation results and support communication of stock value with executive leadership.
Compensation Committee Responsibilities
- Support compensation planning including bonus modeling, performance evaluations, and total rewards reporting.
- Analyze financial impact of compensation programs and assist in decision-making with the Compensation Committee.
- Participate in communication and distribution of compensation-related materials

What you need: Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business required.
- Master’s and/or CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of financial management experience, including minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience in senior finance leadership within a growth-oriented organization required.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and operational finance.
- Experience with ESOPs, valuations, and ERISA/IRS compliance preferred.
- Proven leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence executive decision-making.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. SAP).
